Biography
Johnnie "Scat" Davis (1910-1983) played trumpet and sang with several orchestras, notably Fred Waring's. He introduced the popular Johnny Mercer song "Hooray for Hollywood" in the film Hollywood Hotel (1937), and went on to appear in 15 movies, including Cowboy from Brooklyn (1938).
