Biography
PIERRETTE ALARIE (1921-2011) was a coloratura soprano singer from Canada. She studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and debuted at the Metropolitan Opera in 1945. Alarie married fellow French-Canadian singer Leopold Simoneau the next year. Her last performance was a production of George Frideric Handel's The Messiah (1970).
