Biography
After heading the Labour group in the Fourth State Duma, Alexander Kerensky (1881-1970) joined the Provisional Government of Russia in March 1917 as a representative of the Social Revolutionaries. Until May he had charge of the Ministry of Justice and later the War and Navy Ministry. Commander in Chief of the Russian army, Kerensky became Minister-President (Prime Minister) of the Provisional Government of Russia from July 21, 1917 to November 8, 1917 when he was overthrown in a Communist coup and Vladimir Lenin took control.
