Biography
Richard Derr (1918-1992) began his film career in two Charlie Chan movies (1941-1942). He had his sole leading role in the SF classic When Worlds Collide (1950), playing character roles thereafter in films through the early 1980s (American Gigolo, Firefox). He appeared in eight Broadway plays between 1949 and 1960, winning a Theater World Award for his debut (The Traitor) and playing the second lead in Dial M for Murder. Derr was a frequent TV guest star, with multiple appearances on several series, including Perry Mason, Star Trek, Barnaby Jones and Dallas. Bowed.
