VIKKI CARR's (b.1941) popularity in the U.S. peaked with her Top Forty hits of the late 1960s, including "It Must Be Him" and "Color Me Blue".  Beginning in the 1980s, however, her Spanish language songs became highly popular.  Carr received a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album, Cosas del Amor, in 1991.
