On Broadway from 1955, COLLEEN DEWHURST (1924-1991) became one of America's foremost interpreters of such pantheon playwrights as Eugene O'Neill and Edward Albee; she won a 1981 Tony Award for her performance in the revival of O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten. The forceful, deep-throated Dewhurst was not always easy to cast in films, but she chalked up several memorable movie portrayals, not least of which was as Diane Keaton's WASP-ish mom in Annie Hall (1977). Her TV work included the delightful "middle aged pregnancy" comedy And Baby Makes Six (1979) and numerous appearances as Candice Bergen's mom on Murphy Brown. Appearing in both stage and film, BETTY MILLER (1925-2004) is decidedly better known for her theatre work, appearing in over 20 Broadway plays, including The Beaux Stratagem (1959), You Can't Take It With You (1967), Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1976), and two starring roles in A Touch of the Poet (1977) and The Three Sisters (1997). Though she was successful in theatre, she never quite made the transition to film or television, only making minor appearances in small films and television. PETER MICHAEL GOETZ (b. 1941) has appeared in both stage and film, with his acting career spanning 30 plus years. One of his first credited appearances was in the television movie Act of Love (1980), with his first stage appearance following shortly after in the 1981 play Ned and Jack. The play, which was his first Broadway appearance, was also his first starring role. He would star in two more Broadway plays; 1982's The Queen and the Rebels and 1997's The Last Night of Ballyhoo. Beyond his extensive stage work, he has also worked well in television, having recurring roles in The Cavanaughs (1986), Room for Two (1992), and The Practice (2000). CLARENCE FELDER (b. 1938) is an actor of stage and film, working largely through the 1970's to the 1990's. He has appeared regularly in both venues, with his first stage appearance being in Red, White and Maddox (1969) and his first film appearance being in Man on a Swing (1974). Most roles have been minor or supporting, but he still has an extensive working list, appearing in 50 film and television titles and appearing in 9 Broadway plays. Also signed by ETAIN O'MALLEY as a "Traveller". Stray ink mark on cover. Lightly toned. Corners and edges slightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
