Typed Leter signed: "Vincent Lopez", 1 page, irregularly cut to 5¾x8¼; affixed to 6½x9¾ sheet of black paper. New York, N.Y., 1932 April 25. On letterhead of Office of Vincent Lopez Musical Bureau, Hotel St. Regis, to Thomas, Donald and James Goodrich, Venice, Illinois. In full: "Thank you for your kind letter. I appreciate the many nice things you say and I shall be pleased to hear from you again whenever you care to write. Are you familiar with all of our broadcasts? May I tell you that we go on the air from the St. Regis Hotel, on Wednesday and Friday nights from 11 to 12 P.M., over station W E A F, National Broadcasting System network. Thank for your kind interest and good wishes, I am very sincerely" [signature] P. S. I am sending you under separate cover, an autographed photo of myself as you requested." [Item not included.] Vincent Lopez (1895-1975) was a flamboyant pianist and popular band leader, one of the first to gain popularity on radio. Among the musicians who played for Lopez were Artie Shaw, Xavier Cugat, Glenn Miller, the Dorsey brothers and Betty Hutton. Lopez was closely associated with his signature song, "Nola." He played hotel ballrooms in New York City for many years. Folds, not at signature. Lightly soiled at blank edges. Two file holes at upper blank margin. Corners creased and lightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
