Signature: "Zsazsa Gábor", 5x3 card. Magazine photograph, b/w, 1x1, affixed at upper right corner. Typed name (with incorrect birth year) at upper margin, typed caption at lower margin. Ink notes (unknown hand) state that this autograph was obtained on October 13, 1952 at Gogi's Larue on 58th Street in New York City. In 1952, Gabor made her U.S. debut and starred in three films, Lovely to Look At, We're Not Married! and Moulin Rogue. A minor actress but major Hollywood celebrity, Zsa Zsa Gabor (1917-2016) was Miss Hungary in 1936. She moved to the United States just like her sisters Eva and Magda. Zsa Zsa made her film debut in Lovely to Look At in 1952, the year she gave a well-received performance in Moulin Rouge. She starred in the cult favorite Queen of Outer Space (1958) as well as other features. On television, she's best known as a frequent guest on The Hollywood Squares (1966-1975). She was a popular figure on the talk show circuit, making numerous appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and The Late Show with David Letterman. Known for her trademark "dahlink", she also made frequent headlines with nine marriages, politically incorrect furs, and spats with the police. Her husbands included hotelier Conrad Hilton (1942-1947), actors George Sanders (1949-1954), Jack Ryan (1976-1982), and Felipe de Alba (1983, annulled), and German Frédéric von Anhalt (1986-present), who purchased the title of Prince Frederic of Anhalt via an adoption. Lightly creased and worn at corners. Light stain touches the upper loop of the "b" in Gabor, stain on verso (no show through). Otherwise, fine condition.
