Various travel documents for a European tour taken by Alexander Smith in 1951. Includes travel vouchers, Swiss train ticket books and a receipt from the Hotel Krantz in Vienna.
Document unsigned. Unknown signatures in black ink. Blue ink and lead pencil notations in unknown hand and typed notations. 15 pages including covers, 7½x4, bound in cardstock covers with two staples, with 5¾x2¾ printed card. May 17, 1951. Travel vouchers for Mr. and Mrs. A. Smith, issued by Lissone-Lindeman U. S. A., Inc. through The Dan Scariano Travel Agency, Beverly Hills California. According to what remains of this book, the Smiths had stops throughout August in Harwich, Essex, England; Brussels, Belgium; Cologne, Germany; Zurich, Switzerland; Vienna, Austria; Innsbruck, Austria; and "Montreux", probably in France. They were scheduled to return to the U. S. on board the S. S. Constitution on Sept. 11. Lightly toned, soiled, discolored and creased. Five sheets have been torn from book. Light tear in top edge of front cover. Spine and edges of covers are worn. Covers have rounded and worn corners. Pages were folded in half and unfolded. Card has been folded twice an unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition. Accompanied by: 2) Tickets unsigned. Blue ink notations in unknown hand and red ink stamps. 12 pages including covers, 5½x4, bound with two staples. Holiday train tickets worth $26.89 for trips between Lucerne, Switzerland and Alpnachstad, Switzerland. Lightly toned and creased. Nine sheets torn from book. Covers are lightly scuffed and have worn and rounded corners and lightly torn and worn edges. Spine is worn. Normal cancellation holes. Pages have been folded once and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition. 3) Tickets unsigned. Blue ink notations in unknown hand and red ink stamps. 12 pages including covers, 5½x4, bound with two staples.
