ELUVEITIE
Seven current members of the Swiss folk metal band sign the program from a performance in Montreal.
Program signed: "Chrigel Glanzmann", "Meri Tadic", "Merlin Sutter", "Simeon Koch", "Ivo Henzi", "Anna Murphy", "Kay Brem" and "Pade Kistler". 8½x11 page. Printed program from a performance in Montreal, February 5, 2011, signed in green felt tip. Eluveitie, a folk metal band formed in Switzerland in 2002, takes its name from the Etruscan word for the ancient Helvetians (ancestors of the modern Swiss). The band uses traditional musical instruments amidst guitars and harsh vocals. Its style is also called "melodic death metal" or "pagan metal." Some of the lyrics are English; others are sung in the extinct language Gaulish. Eluveitie released its fifth studio album, Helvetios, in 2012, and has toured from North America (as shown here) to India. The group, which won the Metal Hammer "Up and Coming" award in 2010, is popular at festivals. CHRIGEL GLANZMANN, the band's founder, is lead vocalist, and plays a variety of traditional instruments. Also featured are MERI TADIC (violin), MERLIN SUTTER (drums), SIMEON KOCH (lead guitar), IVO HENZI (rhythm guitar), KAY BREM (bass guitar) and PATRICK "PADE" KISTLER (bagpipes). Crease at the bottom left edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
