GEORGE MAHARIS
George Maharis sends a typed letter to a fan fulfilling the fans request.
Typed Letter signed: "Sincerely/George M", 1p, 5½x8½. No place, 1980 April 15. On his personal letterhead. Begins: "Dear Bob". In full: "Thank you for writing. I would have answered you sooner, but I've been in Texas, doing the play 'Catch Me If You Can'. It's always very nice to hear from people who enjoy my work. Requests such as yours are very flattering and I'm happy to oblige. May this letter find all to be well with you and yours," Best known for his role as Buzz Murdock on Route 66 (1960-1963), stage, screen and television actor George Maharis (born in 1928) made his film debut in 1960's Exodus. His other film credits include The Satan Bug (1965), The Sword and the Sorceror (1982) and Doppelganger (1993), but Maharis found more success on the small screen. In addition to Route 66, he starred on the short-lived series, The Most Deadly Game (1970-1971), appeared in the miniseries, Rich Man, Poor Man (1976) and was in a number of made-for-TV movies. The multitalented performer also found success singing in nightclubs and is an impressionist painter. Fine condition.
