multi-talented singer, dancer and actress, is best known for her role as
Carol Brady in the TV series, The Brady Bunch (1969-1974). Henderson,
who was a Today girl from 1959-1960, was the first woman to
host The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, and she would later
co-host the short-lived spinoff series, Later Today (1999-2000). A
successful star of Broadway musicals, she has appeared in several feature
films, including Song of Norway (1970), and has appeared as a guest on
dozens of TV series, game shows and variety programs. AUDRY MEADOWS
(1926-1996) was born in Wu'chang China to missionary parents. Her
acting career began when she appeared on Broadway for a few months in Top
Banana (1951). She then got a job on The Bob And Ray Show on NBC
(1951). In 1952, Meadows was hired to play Alice Kramden on "The
Honeymooners", a comedy sketch which was shown during the second half hour of
The Jackie Gleason Show on CBS (1952-1957), a role which earned her an
Emmy (1955) and three more nominations She starred in a few films including
That Touch Of Mink (1961) and Take Her, She's Mine (1962), later
appearing as Ted Knight's mother in law in the sitcom Too Close For
Comfort (1982-1983). Her sister was actress Jane Meadows. GINGER
ROGERS (1911-1995) was singing and dancing in vaudeville while still in her
teens. A major film star of the 1930s and 1940s, she was usually sought for
musicals and comedies, but she earned a Best Actress Oscar in the dramatic
title role of Kitty Foyle (1940). Rogers is probably best remembered as
the dance partner of Fred Astaire, with whom she starred in ten films.
SHIRLEY MacLAINE made her Broadway debut as a 16 year-old chorus girl in
Me and Juliet (1953). Her dancing skills were evident in the films
Can-Can (1960) and Sweet Charity (1969). She received five Academy
Award nominations for Best Actress, finally winning the coveted Oscar in 1983
for Terms of Endearment. MacLaine has written several books on
