ITZHAK PERLMAN
Violinist Itzhak Perlman signed this document before appearing on an NBC program in 1991, attesting that he hadn't paid or been paid to appear.
Document signed "Itzhak Perlman" in blue ink. Blue ink notations in unknown hand.1 page, 8½x11. Jan. 9, 1991. Prior to an appearance on NBC television, Perlman signs a statement attesting that he has not made payments to any network employee or been paid to appear on the program. Born in Tel Aviv, Palestine (now Israel) in 1945, young Perlman was stricken with polio four years later, leaving his legs paralyzed for life. This challenge proved no impediment to his emergence as a prodigy violinist. Moving with his family to New York, where he studied at Julliard, Perlman made the first of his many appearances on American TV in 1959. In 1963, he made his Carnegie Hall debut. His recordings and concert tours have sustained his great popularity into the 21st century. Perlman has performed classical music with nearly every major orchestra and important conductor in the world. Lightly toned and creased. Light tears at bottom edge. Otherwise in fine condition.
