Membership form for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. In 1958, Bacon (1914-2010) appeared as himself in an uncredited appearance in the movie Teacher's Pet. American journalist Bacon, born in 1914, has reported for the Associated Press, The Hollywood Reporter and the Los Angeles Herald Examiner. As of this biography, he is a contributing editor to Parade magazine and a weekly columnist for Beverly Hills magazine. Bacon has also been in almost 50 movies and TV shows between 1954 and 1986, mostly in walk-on roles. Most notably, he is the only actor to appear in all five Planet of the Apes movies (Planet of the Apes, 1968; Beneath the Planet of the Apes, 1970; Escape from the Planet of the Apes, 1971; Battle for the Planet of the Apes, 1973). Bacon has also published three books: Hollywood is a Four Letter Town (1977), Made In Hollywood (1978) and a biography of his friend Jackie Gleason, How Sweet It Is: The Jackie Gleason Story (1985). Lightly toned and creased. Receipt has carbon copy marks and was folded once and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
