Joan Bennett signs a contract to appear on the TV program, Personality.
Contract signed: "Joan Bennett" as Performer, 2p, 8½x11, front and verso with rider, 3p, 8½x11, separate sheets. No place, 1967 November 20. Headed: "Standard AFTRA Engagement Contract for Single Television Broadcast/and for Multiple Television Broadcasts Within One Calendar Week". The Personality Company, a Joint Venture of Bob Stewart, Inc. and Filmways, Inc. contracts with Bennett for her appearance on the TV program, Personality, to be taped on December 13 and 14 for broadcast the week of January 8, 1968. She was to be paid $750 for her appearance as a Panelist on five shows. Also signed: "Bob Stewart" for The Personality Company. Personality, which was broadcast from 1967-1969, was a celebrity game show. In the year she signed this document, Bennett was appearing on the daytime gothic soap, Dark Shadows, and she made guest appearances on The Merv Griffin Show and The Mike Douglas Show. Joan Bennett (1910-1990), the daughter of stage actor Richard Bennett and sister of screen actresses Constance and Barbara Bennett, starred in over 40 films, including Bulldog Drummond (1929), Little Women (1933), Father of the Bride (1950) and We're No Angels (1955). Active on the stage in the 1960s, she also appeared in a number of made-for-television movies and was a guest star on several series. Lightly creased. Stapled at upper left corners.
