lower margin. The Man in the Glass Booth (released in 1975) is a
film following a Jewish and Nazi death camp survivor Arthur Goldman
(Schell), who in the peak of his happily restored and luxurious life is
kidnapped by Israeli secret agents who take him to trial on charges of being a
Nazi War criminal. For his star performance, Schell (1930-2014) received
nominations for a Golden Globe and the Academy Award. Maximilian Schell
(b. 1931) won the 1961 Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as
defense attorney Hans Rolfe in Judgment at Nuremberg, and he was
nominated for Oscars for Best Actor for The Man in the Glass Booth
(1975) and Julia (1977). In 1970, Schell won the Academy Award for
Best Foreign Language Film as Producer-Director-Screenwriter of Erste
Liebe/First Love. In 1961, while garnering Oscar honors, Schell also played
Hamlet in a TV production of Shakespeare's play. Lawrence Pressman (born
David M. Pressman in 1939) is an American actor, best known for his roles
in Doogie Howser M.D., Ladies Man and Mulligan's
Stew. Casted in a wide variety of television shows and movies, from
Shaft (1971) to All My Children (1996), Pressman has maintained
a steady acting career since the early 1970's with over 160 screen
appearances. In recent years he's been seen in judicial roles (Boston
Legal, Crossing Jordon), and in 2013 he appeared as a pastor in Beyond
the Heavens. In Man in the Glass Booth, Pressman plays Charlie
Cohen, Goldman's assistantand closest ally who is first to learn of
suspicions of Goldman's innocence. Lightly toned around edges. Otherwise, fine
