PAULA PRENTISS
Signed b/w publicity photograph from the movie The Black Marble of Prentiss standing next to Robert Foxworth, who's on a telephone
Printed Photograph Signed in Ink: "Paula/Prentiss" in green ink. B/w, 10x7¾ overall, 10x6¾ image. Scene from The Black Marble (1979). From the All Movie Guide: "Adapted for the screen by novelist Joseph Wambaugh himself, this film stars Robert Foxworth as a burned-out, hard-drinking cop who is teamed with idealistic lady officer Paula Prentiss. These two polar opposites wade their way through a seamy urban world of corruption and hopelessness." Prentiss, born Paula Ragusa in San Antonio, Texas in 1938, was signed by MGM in 1960, which groomed her for stardom in such films as Where the Boys Are (1960), The Honeymoon Machine (1961) and The Horizontal Lieutenant (1963). In 1967, she co-starred with her husband Richard Benjamin in a TV sitcom He and She that received a loyal cult following. Prentiss continued popping up in excellent film roles thereafter in such movies as The Stepford Wives (1975), Friendships, Secrets and Lies (1979), Buddy, Buddy (1981) and Mrs. Winterbourne (1996). Lightly toned and creased. Scuffed and worn corners. Otherwise, fine condition.
