With 6¼x3¼ initiation fee receipt carbon copy with perforated left edge stapled at top edge. Jan. 26, 1967. Membership form for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. According to this document, Kennedy was an actor who was scheduled to appear in a 1967 episode of The Dating Game. The Dating Game (1965-1973) was just that, a dating game show. A single woman asked three single men that she couldn't see several questions, then went out on a date, paid for by the show, with one of them. (The roles were occasionally reversed, with a man asking three women the questions) The show often featured celebrities, both before and after they became famous, like John Ritter, Bill Bixby, Steve Martin, Farrah Fawcett, Ron Howard, Michael Jackson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, even Groucho Marx and Vincent Price. The Dating Game was syndicated into the new millennium and spawned two spinoffs, one in 1986 and one in 1997. Kennedy apppeared as a service man in the Run for Your Life episode The Assassin (1967), in an undetermined role in the Bob Hope Presents the Chrysler Theatre episode Verdict for Terror (1967), as "1st Hippie" in the Ironside episode The Leaf in the Forest (1967), as a "Man" in Madigan (1968), as Custis Claiborne in Journey to Shiloh (1968) and in an uncredited role as a student in The Shakiest Gun in the West (1968). Lightly toned and creased. Form is lightly soiled and was folded twice and unfolded. Receipt has carbon copy marks and was folded once and unfolded. Otherwise in fine condition.
