BRUSCANTINI (1919-2003) was an Italian opera singer and one of the greatest buffo singers of the post-World War II era. He began his professional career in 1946 as a bass specializing in the comic roles of Mozart, Rossini and Donizetti. But his voice moved up the scale to baritone; for a few years in the middle of his career, his voice was so high that he sang high Verdi baritone roles. Bruscantini was a fixture at Britain's Glyndebourne Festival in the 1950s and at the Chicago Lyric in the 1960s, and he also sang at Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Italian and the Vienna State Opera, the Metropolitan Opera and in Brussels, Monte Carlo, Paris and London. He continued singing until at least 1990. DAVIES (1943-2023) is a Welsh light lyric operatic tenor who is especially associated with Glyndenbourne Festival. He made his opera debut in 1964 as the Count in Rossini's The Barber of Seville and his Metropolitan Opera debut in 1975 in as Ferrando in Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte. He started teaching later in his career; his students include lyric tenor Andrew Kennedy. MASTROMEI, born in1932, is an operatic baritone from Argentina. CASSINELLI is an Argentinian operatic tenor. Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Rounded and worn corners. Otherwise in fine condition
