The first Black woman elected to Congress (1969-1983), Brooklyn Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm (born in 1924) championed women's rights and an end to the Vietnam War. She was an unsuccessful candidate for the presidential nomination at the 1972 Democratic National Convention. Slightly creased. Lightly soiled on verso. Fine condition.
