Biography
Brandon DeWilde (1942-1972, born Andre Brandon DeWilde in Brooklyn, New York), nominated for Best Supporting Actor Oscar as the child star of Shane(1953) at the age of 10, died as a result of injuries suffered in a traffic accident in 1972 at the age of 30. He made his Broadway debut in 1950 in A Member of the Wedding(1950-1951).
