Thomas Shields Clarke (1860-1920) was an American artist from
Pennsylvania, who was most famous for his sculpture The Cider
Press, for which he received a medal of honor from Madrid. Clarke is
also credited for designing an Alma Mater for Princeton University. In
1887 he painted A Fool's Fool, and he also received a medal at the
International Exposition in Berlin in 1891 for his painting Night Market
in Morocco. Edges lightly worn. Slightly toned. Fine
condition.
