Docketed on verso.Benjamin Harris Brewster (1816-1888) was
appointed by President Polk (1846) to adjudicate Cherokee Indian claims against
the US Government. He was Attorney General of Pennsylvania (1867-1868) and later
US Attorney General under President Arthur (1882-1885). Brewster is
remembered for saying: "A lawyer starts life giving $500 worth of law for $5 and
ends giving $5 worth for $500." Normal mailing folds. Lightly toned. Pencil note
at top margin (unknown hand). Otherwise, fine condition.
