JEFF CHANDLER (1918-1950), who began his career as a radio actor, made his film debut in 1947. In 1950, he made the first of three performances on the big screen as Apache Chief Cochise in Broken Arrow, earning an Academy Award nomination. Chandler, who was one of the top leading men of the 1950s, died shortly after making Merrill's Marauders (1962) from blood poisoning after spinal surgery. He was 42. Musical actress RITA MORENO is one of the few who have won a TONY, OSCAR, GRAMMY and EMMY. She won a Tony Award in 1975 for The Ritz andthe 1961 Academy Award for West Side Story. She won the 1972 Grammy Award for Best Recording for Children (The Electric Company). In 1977, she won an Emmy Award for her appearance on The Muppet Show, followed by another for The Rockford Files the following year. Moreno also provided the voice for the title character on the PBS series, Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? and starred as Sister Peter Marie Reimondo on the HBO prison drama, Oz. Actress MARJIE MILLAR (1931-1966) appeared in several feature films, including Money From Home (1954), About Mrs. Leslie (1954) and When Gangland Strikes (1956). Her TV credits include recurring roles on The Ray Bolger Show (1954-1955, as Ray's girlfriend) and Dragnet (1956, as Sharon Maxwell) and she also appeared on The Millionaire (1955). Millar was married to TV producer/director John Florea, whose credits include Sea Hunt. Mounting sheet is lightly creased and soiled. Rectangular stains at upper right margin on front touch 4 words of Chandler's writing. On verso light rectangular stains at Millar's signature and 13 words of her writing (all legible) and Moreno's signature and 4 lines of her writing (all legible). Sheet has 3¾x3 triangular paper loss and 3¾x3½ rectangular paper loss at lower blank margin, large stain between missing portions. Moreno's photograph is irregularly cut at left and right blank edges. Overall, fine condition.
