Autograph Note Signed: "To Fred/Best wishes,/Kathryn Grant",
5x3 card. A film starlet of the 1950s (The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad,
1957; Anatomy of a Murder, 1959), Kathryn Grant married film and
music idol Bing Crosby in 1957, devoting much of her time to their family and
his career until the crooner's death in 1977. In the 1990s she resumed a
stage career, returning in a revival of State Fair (1996) to a
Broadway stage she first shared with Bing in 1976 (Bing Crosby on
Broadway). In addition to stage tours of the U.S., Crosby has performed on
the Russian stage in Chekhov's The Seagull and in Hello, Dolly,
learning her lines phonetically. Ink note on verso shows through lightly at
right edge, touching "t" of "Grant". Otherwise, fine
condition.
