Inscribed Printed Photograph Signed in Ink: "To Josh every good wish./Allan Jones". B/w, 3½x5½, captioned at lower margin. ALLAN JONES (1908-1992), a star of Broadway and film musicals of the 1930s and forties, made his screen debut in Show Boat (1936). From the 1937 film Firefly came his hit song, "Donkey Serenade". He is best remembered for his romantic roles in two Marx Brothers productions: A Night at the Opera and A Day at the Races. After his film career he toured with stage companies in such productions as Man of La Mancha. Inscription is slightly smudged. Otherwise, fine condition.
