Signature: "Edward J. Rosinski", 5x3. Chemical engineer
Edward J. Rosinski (1921-2000), working with Charles Plank at
Socony-Vacuum, invented the first zeolite catalyst commercial useful in the
petroleum industry for catalytic cracking of petroleum into lighter products
such as gasoline. This invention allows crude oil samples to be
transformed into fuels with specific performance criteria, such as higher
octane. Rosinski, who held or shared 76 patents, was inducted into the
Inventors Hall of Fame in 1979. Fine condition.
