We're off to Tuscany tomorrow, started packing yesterday! I always take too much & never need anything! Maybe see you in the Fall? Here's hoping, so much love!". Actress Zoe Wanamaker was born in New York City in 1949 but raised in London after her father, actor/director Sam Wanamaker, was blacklisted in the US. She became a British subject in 2000 before receiving a CBE from the Queen. A member of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre from 1976 to 1984, she earned two Olivier Awards. All 4 of her Broadway appearances have resulted in Tony nominations. From 2000 to 2011, she starred in the popular British sitcom My Family. She has made relatively few feature films, although she played Madame Hooch in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2005). Other credits include the 1991 mini-series Prime Suspect (1991) and Love Hurts (1992-1994). More recently, she earned a recurring role on the television series Mr Selfridge (2013-2016). This letter is addressed to, and was in the estate of, versatile singer, actress and TV personality Kitty Carlisle (1910-2007), who was still performing a one-woman show as late as 2006. She was married to playwright Moss Hart until his death in 1961. Corners slightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
