Since then 'luck', my family, and some very nice people have been there to see me through such projects as Babes In Toyland, Gypsy, Hazel, Broadway's Sugar Babies, It's a Living, my own pieces Jennifer Slept There, Ellis Island, to name a few. But the 'most special' movie I've done to date, was that of Mae West, in which I played the title role of, 'Mae'! I considered it an honor & a thrill to play this legendary lady. Perhaps she was smiling on me (I'd like to think so) because my portrayal of her earned me an Emmy nomination! I bring her character with me after to Las Vegas in my nightclub act . . . She's probably best known for her role as Cassie Cranston in the sitcom It's a Living (1980-1982 and 1985-1989) and for her triumphant role as Jillian in the Tony-nominated revue Sugar Babies, which ran for 1,208 performances from 1979 to 1982 on Broadway.
