ARCADIA
Autographed So Red the Rose from Duran Duran's Side Project signed by Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes
Album cover signed: "Simon Le Bon" in blue ink and "Nick Rhodes" in gold ink. Album cover for So Red The Rose. Album included. So Red the Rose is the sole studio album by Arcadia, the 1985 side project formed by Duran Duran members Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, and Roger Taylor during a temporary band hiatus. Released in November 1985, the album showcases a more atmospheric, moody, and experimental sound compared to Duran Duran's mainstream pop hits. Blending lush synthesizers, layered vocals, and art-rock influences, the album features guest appearances from acclaimed musicians such as David Gilmour, Herbie Hancock, and Sting. Its lead single, "Election Day," became a Top 10 hit in both the UK and US, with follow-up tracks like "The Flame" and "Goodbye Is Forever" reinforcing the album's sophisticated tone. So Red the Rose was praised for its ambitious production and remains a cult favorite among fans of 1980s new wave and art-pop. Simon Le Bon (born Simon John Charles Le Bon on October 27, 1958, in Bushey, Hertfordshire, England) is an English singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of Duran Duran. Joining the band in 1980, Le Bon brought a distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence that helped propel Duran Duran to international fame during the 1980s with hits such as "Rio," "Girls on Film," and "Ordinary World." Known for his poetic lyrics and strong visual appeal, Le Bon also formed the side project Arcadia in 1985, releasing the critically praised album So Red the Rose. He has remained the frontman of Duran Duran throughout its evolving career, contributing to the band's continued success across decades. Nick Rhodes (born Nicholas James Bates on June 8, 1962, in Birmingham, England) is an English musician best known as the founding keyboardist of the new wave band Duran Duran. Renowned for his stylish image and innovative use of synthesizers, Rhodes played a central role in shaping the band's sound and visual identity. He co-wrote many of Duran Duran's major hits, including "Hungry Like the Wolf," "Save a Prayer," and "The Reflex." In 1985, he co-founded the side project Arcadia with bandmates Simon Le Bon and Roger Taylor. In addition to his work with Duran Duran, Rhodes has been active as a producer and photographer, maintaining a prominent presence in the music and art world. Fine condition.
