(1913-1973) was an American film and stage actress; first appearing on the
London stage in She Loves Me Not, before returning to Broadway
where she had several other stage success. She made her film debut in 1939 as
Mae, the sole female character in Of Mice and Men (1939), and
would go on to appear in film such as The Shepherd of the Hills
(1941), Kings Row (1942), and The Great Gatsby
(1949). A member of The Actors Studio, Field would always prefer Broadway to
Hollywood. Veteran character actor ARTHUR O'CONNELL (1908-1981) was
nominated for Best Supporting Actor Academy Awards for
Picnic (1955) and Anatomy of a Murder (1959). O'Connell, who made
his stage debut in the mid-1930s, appeared in his first film in 1938. His
film credits include Citizen Kane (1941), The Man in the Gray
Flannel Suit (1956), Bus Stop (1956), Gidget (1959),
Operation Petticoat (1959), Cimarron (1960), The Great
Imposter (1961),Pocketful of Miracles (1961), Follow That
Dream (1962), The Silencers (1966),Fantastic Voyage (1966),
The Poseidon Adventure (1972) and The Hiding Place(1975).
O'Connell, who appeared on a number of early TV anthologies, was also a
regular performer in two series, Mr. Peepers (1953-1954) and
The Second Hundred Years (1967-1968). He also mad guest
appearances on a long list of TV series through 1975. Singer/actor FABIAN,
born Fabiano Anthony Forte in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1943,was one
of the biggest of the 1950s teen idols, finding overnight stardom after
appearances on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. In 1959-1960, he had a
number of Top 10 hits, including Tiger, Hound Dog Man and
his signature song Turn Me Loose. Fabian then embarked on a film career,
appearing in such films as Hound Dog Man(1959), North to Alaska
(1960), High Time (1960) and The Longest Day (1962). Billing
himself as Fabian Forte after 1970, he continued to appear in films and
made-for-TV movies and made guest appearances on several TV shows. In recent
years, Fabian has teamed up with fellow teen idols Frankie Avalon and Bobby
Rydell, touring as "The Golden Boys". Toned. Corners rounded. Creased
