Document Signed: "Louis Jourdan", 1p, 8½x14. Jourdan has signed over a carbon copy signature. No place, 1980 December 22. Headed: "Screen Actors Guild, Inc. Minimum Free Lance Contract". Contract between Jourdan and Kavanaugh Productions Pty. Ltd. for Jourdan to play the role of Peter Correlli in Double Deal. Jourdan was to be paid $15,000 for five weeks employment. The Australian film, Double Deal, directed by Brian Kavanaugh, was released in 1984. In the film, Jourdan played wealthy businessman, Peter Sterling (not Correlli) and Angela Punch McGregor played his wife, fashion model, Christine. Jourdan (1921-2015) debuted in films in 1939, playing dashing, lead roles in a number of French romantic comedies and dramas. In 1948, he was invited to Hollywood by David O. Selznick, who cast him in The Paradise Case. Jourdan starred in a number of Hollywood films and international productions, including Madame Bovary (1949), Three Coins in the Fountain (1954), Gigi (1958), Can-Can (1960), Irma La Douce (1963), Octopussy (1983) and Year of the Comet (1992, his last film). After 1968, he also appeared in a number of television movies. Lightly creased and soiled. Frayed upper edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
