Document signed: "Rex Reason" in blue ink, 2p (1 sheet front and verso), 6x8½. With 6¼x3¼ initiation fee receipt carbon copy with perforated left edge stapled at top edge. May 19, 1955. Membership form for the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. In 1955, Reason appeared in four movies - including starring roles in Kiss of Fire, Lady Godiva and Smoke Signal and as human scientist Cal Meacham in the science fiction movie This Island Earth (later victimized by the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 crew)- and in an episode of Lux Video Theatre. German-born actor Rex Reason (1928-2015) got top billing in his debut film Storm Over Tibet (1952), and he would go on to appear in such features as Salome (1953), Yankee Pasha (1954, billed as Bart Roberts), Badlands of Montana (1957), and The Miracle of the Hills (1959). Reason, who was known for his good looks and fine baritone voice, was also frequently seen on the small screen. He starred as Scott Norris on the TV series, The Roaring 20's (1960-1962), and Reason made a number of guest starring appearances on TV shows and series including The Millionaire (1956), Trackdown (1957), 77 Sunset Strip (1960), Sugarfoot (1960), Perry Mason (1962), Wagon Train (1963), and Here's Lucy (1968-1973, four episodes playing Jeff Simpson). Lightly toned and creased. Form has light dent and nick at top edge and light discoloration at top edge. Blue ink notations in unknown hand. Receipt has light nicks along top edge and light discoloration at top edge and carbon copy marks. Otherwise, fine condition.
