Autograph Quotation signed: "Good action [sic] crown themselves/ with lasting bays./ Who well deserves not anothers praise/ Robert Heath", in black ink, 3½x2¼. Robert Heath (1636-1659) was an English poet best known for his collection of poems: Clarastella together with poems occasional, elegies, epigrams, satyrs (1650). The work features a poetic retelling of the adventures of Sir William Wallace, the 13th century Scotsman who was the subject of the Hollywood epic Braveheart (1995). Toned edges. Adhesive residue on verso. Otherwise, fine condition.
