The Warner Bros. associate signs a typed memo regarding their contract with DePatie-Freleng Enterprises in 1963.
Memorandum signed: "Howard", in blue ink. 1 page, 8½x11. Warner Bros. Pictures, Burbank California, June 26, 1963. To "Dear Hal" H.E. Holman, in full: "Enclosed herewith is one fully executed copy of the May 6, 1963 letter agreement between Warner Bros. Pictures, Inc. and DePatie-Freleng Enterprises Unlimited, Inc. covering the rental of our cartoon facilities and equipment for the period May 13, 1963 through May 12, 1965. The rental is $500.00 a month for the first year and $750.00 a month for the second year. You already have in your possession a check for the $1,000.00 covering the first month's rent and a $500.00 deposit against damage (in accordance with paragraph 3 of the aforesaid letter agreement)." Howard Barton was an associate with Warner Bros. Pictures during the 1960s. He worked at the company after Warner Bros. closed its cartoon studios in 1963 when producers David H. DePatie and Friz Freleng teamed up to form DePatie-Freleng Enterprises. The company produced over 300 cartoons from 1964 until 1986. DePatie and Freleng won the 1964 Academy Award for Short Subject (Cartoon) for The Pink Phink. Pencil notes (unknown hand) at top margin. Paperclip impression at top margin. Creased. Otherwise, fine condition.
