DAVID BLOCH. Partly Printed DS: "D. Bloch" as Mayor of Tel-Aviv in Hebrew, 1p, 8½x5¾. Tel-Aviv, 1927 March 3. In Hebrew, not translated, concerning the power of attorney for the estate of Ahad Ha-am. Founded as Ahuzat Bayit in 1909, the city of Tel-Aviv, which means "hill of spring", was renamed in 1910. From 1921-1925, Meir Dizengoff served as the first Mayor of the city. David Bloch, who was Tel-Aviv's second Mayor from 1925-1927, was succeeded by Dizengoff, who served again from 1928-1936. Lightly creased, with folds, vertical fold touches signature. Stray ink blot at blank left margin, government stamp at mid-left portion, 2 file holes at blank right margin. Overall, fine condition.
