The Rainmaker (1997), based on a novel by John Grisham, follows an out-of-work young lawyer who learns what it means to love. CLAIRE DANES (b. 1979) is an American actress born in New York who has, since her debut in 1990, performed in over thirty-five titles. She got her start on stage with performances in Happiness and Punk Ballet. Danes film debut came in 1990 with the short film Dreams of Love as Edith Lammers. She has been nominated for, and won, dozens of awards for her performances in films such as The Rainmaker (1997), Romeo + Juliet (1996), The Hours (2002), and Shopgirl (2005). Her most notable accomplishments come from her roles in television series such as "My So-Called Life" (1994) for which she received a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Temple Grandin (2007) for which she received another Golden Globe, and Homeland (2011) for which she received a final Golden Globe. Cambridge, Massachusetts-born actor MATT DAMON (b.1970) became an instant sensation when he co-wrote and starred in Good Will Hunting, for which he was nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award and won the Best Original Screenplay Oscar (shared by co-writer and co-star Ben Affleck). The actor has appeared in a number of films, including Saving Private Ryan (1998, as the title character), The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), All The Pretty Horses (2000), Ocean's Eleven (2001, and sequels) and its sequel, Ocean's 12 (2004), and The Bourne Identity (2002, and sequels). He was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for Invictus (2009). The politically outspoken Damon is active in a variety of worldwide humanitarian campaigns. Fine condition.
