Justin Tubb (1935-1998) was a country music singer and songwriter and son of the legendary Ernest Tubb. He got his start working local clubs in college and, later, working as a DJ in Gallatin, Tennessee, occasionally singing some of his songs on-air. His first single was Ooh-La-La (1953), and he continued to record until the 1970s. Tubb put three songs in the Billboard Country Singles Top 20, including I Gotta Go Get My Baby (1955), Sure Fire Kisses with Goldie Hill (1955) and Take a Letter, Miss Gray (1963). He also wrote hits for other singers, including Hawkshaw Hawkins' 1963 chart-topper Lonesome 7-7203 and Del Reeve's Be Glad (1969), as well as the traditional country standard What's Wrong with the Waty We're Doing It Now. He also joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1955, where he performed until the 1970s. Lightly toned, creased and bowed. Signature has low contrast in places, but is legible. Light impressions and vertical striations on image (not visible head-on). Otherwise, fine condition.
