Autograph Note Signed: "To George/Buck Henry/Jun 3, 78". With "Comedy Writer and Comedian" in unknown hand. 5¼x7¾, with 3½x1¼ B/w magazine photo and bio. Henry (1930-2020), has been involved in TV and movies for almost fifty years and is one of the entertainment industry's premier collaborators. He co-wrote the screenplay for The Graduate (1967), which earned him one of his two Oscar nominations. He was also nominated for co-directing Heaven Can Wait (1978), in which he also played the role of "the Escort". He co-created the TV series Get Smart with Mel Brooks, and his writing for that series earned him an Emmy in 1967, which he shared with Leonard Stern.Henry has written for 20 TV shows and movies, including for the movies Catch-22 (1970), Protocol (1984) and To Die For (1995), and has acted in over 50 TV shows and movies. His early credits include writing for The New Steve Allen Show and That Was the Week that Was, based on the British series, which both earned him Emmy nominations for writing. George R. Sanders, originally a disc jockey, became a prominent radio/TV interview host, first in Los Angeles and later in Portland. Sheet torn from larger sheet or album on left side.
