Holden signed this release form to give the Chicago Tribune-New York News Syndicate, Inc. permission to use his name, picture and portrait for editorial and promotional, but not commercial advertising purposes. Nominated three times for Academy Awards for Best Actor, Holden (1918-1981, born William Franklin Beedle, Jr. in O'Fallon, Illinois) won the 1954 Oscar for the role of J.J. Sefton in Stalag 17. He was also nominated in 1951 for portraying Joe Gillis in Sunset Blvd. and in 1977 for the role of network news division President Mark Schumacher in Network. Other memorable roles were the boxer/violinist in Golden Boy and Judy Holliday's tutor in Born Yesterday. Lightly toned and creased. Otherwise in fine condition.
