Autograph sentiment signed: "Cordially/Joseph Coyne", in brown
ink, 4x2½. American-born actor Joseph Coyne found greater successes
abroad in English musical theatre. Making his stage debut in New York City's
Niblo's Garden at the age of 16, Coyne took the London stage for the first
time in 1901 with The Girl from up There. He later became a favorite
for romantic leads as seen in The Dollar Princess (1909), The Quaker
Girl (1910) and The Dancing Mistress (1912). His last major
performance was in Apron Strings at the Vaudeville Theatre in 1931.
Toned. Adhesive residue on verso. Creased. Otherwise, fine
condition.
