She signed this autograph note on a typed letter from an autograph collector
(1970).
Autograph Note signed: "CM", 1 page, 8¼x11. At the bottom of a typed
letter from a collector in Massachusetts asking her to sign a Time magazine
cover [not included], she has penned an ALS: "Glad to - it's Miss Mead
however. Best for 1970." Clare Mead was a researcher and reporter
for Time magazine and affiliated journals (Life, People, Discover) from
1968 to 1995. She was also Head Producer of Minnesota Public
Radio's Public Policy Unit and an on-air interviewer for the station
(1984-1986). She now works as a freelance writer, editor and ghostwriter.
Since informing her correspondent that she was single, Mead has married creative
advertiser Herb Rosen, and is now Clare Mead Rosen. Full-length vertical
crease in 1½ inch from left edge. Right edge soiled, creased and has three
filing holes. Otherwise, fine condition.
