JOHN WALCUTT
The actor pens this handwritten letter to the founder of the Gallery of History, Inc.
Autograph Letter signed: "John Walcutt", in black ink, 1p, 8¼x11. 1984 September 20. To "Dear Mr. Axelrod". In full: "In response to your letter of 9/6/84 I'm sending along a script of the recently televised version of Joshua Logan's Mr. Roberts, in which I had the pleasure of playing "Lindstrom." The script is signed by everyone who was in the cast, including current well-knowns Robert Hays, Charles Durning, Howard Hesseman, Marilu Henner and Kevin Bacon (who charged me a dime for his signature because he's a "big star" after Footloose!); all wonderful people. Also in the cast you'll find many names that will, I'm sure, become well-known to us in years to come. I hope this script is a welcome addition to your project./ My Very Best Wishes, [signature]/ P.S. Mr. Roberts was broadcast live on NBC-TV at 9:00 EDT, Monday night March 19, 1984. It was directed by Melvin Bernhardt." John Walcutt is a prolific guest actor who has starred in a commendable number of TV shows, and in many movies. A few of his most notable feature film credits include Little Miss Sunshine (2006) and Titanic (1997) as well as voice roles in Mulan (1998) and Dinosaur (2000). He was also in the following TV movies: Mister Roberts (1984), Harmful Intent (1993), and Breach of Conduct (1994). Additionally, he has guest starred on dozens of TV shows including The Twilight Zone (1985-1989), Hill Street Blues (1981-1987), JAG (1995-2005), ER (1994-2009), Nash Bridges (1996-2001), Judging Amy (1999-2005), and Mad Men (2007-2015). Sheet of paper torn from spiral notebook. Worn and creased near top edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
