RHONDA FLEMING
Rhonda Fleming sends a typed letter agreeing with George Arliss.
Typed Letter Signed: "Rhonda Fleming", 1p, 8½x11. No place, 1992 March 18. To Charles Barch, St. Marys, Georgia. In full: "I agree with George Arliss--the inner emotions can be felt by an audience; without emotions an actor does not convey real life and leaves the viewer void of reactions. Technique combined with drawing upon emotions from personal experience give the depth and the audience the ability to believe." GEORGE ARLISS won the 1929-1930 Academy Award for Best Actor for the title role in Disraeli. Hollywood writer Hal Erickson has written: "Surely Technicolor was invented for the express purpose of showing to fullest advantage the flaming red hair of actress Rhonda Fleming." In 1946, FLEMING played her first important film role as the nymphomaniac mental patient in Hitchcock's Spellbound. While working at Paramount from 1947 through 1957, she played opposite such diverse leading men as Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Ronald Reagan and Donald O'Connor. Lightly creased. Folds, light vertical fold touches the "m" in Fleming. Fine condition.
