in the 1950s sign this green album sheet with "best wishes"

Days/Bob Garsen/Gurney Bell/Marty" in blue ink. 6x4½. THE SPORTSMEN
QUARTET was a singing group that began performing in the 1930s. They
appeared on Rudy Vallee's and Judy Canova's programs and even provided songs for
animated cartoons. They had provided some work for The Jack Benny
Program before becoming a part of the 1946-1947 season of the show. The
Sportsmen performed parody versions of songs and also incorporated sales pitches
into their acts. BILL DAYS (1911-2002) was a singer and entertainer best
known as the top tenor and a founding member of the Sportsmen Quartet. He
performed with them on multiple television programs and musicals as well as
regularly appearing on The Jack Benny Program. BOB GARSEN
(1927-1992), born Robert Leigh Gausman, was the 2nd tenor of the group The
Sportsmen Quartet. He joined the group in 1954 when Jay Meyer left. Garsen
appeared with the group numerous times on The Jack Benny Program.
GURNEY BELL (1912-1976) was a member of the Sportsmen Quartet who joined
the band in 1942 when bass Thurl Ravenscroft left. Bell appeared in a number
of musicals as a member of the quartet, including Footlight Varieties
(1951) and Paris Follies of 1956 (1955), as well as their regular
part on The Jack Benny Program. MARTY SPERZEL (1912-2011), born
Martin George Sperzel, was best known for being a member of The Sportsmen
Quartet as their baritone singer. He replaced John Rarig in 1943. Sperzel
wrote commercial jingles with Henry Russell and Jack Quinn and was also
featured in the 1960 movie G.I. Blues. Lightly toned. Edges darkened.
Diagonal crease across bottom right corner. Pin-size holes in left edge.
