Actor Walter Koenig signed this contract in 1963 to appear in an episode of General Hospital. Koenig is best known as Pavel Chekov, the Enterprise's navigator, on Star Trek.
Contract signed "Walter Koenig" as Performerand by a representative of Selmur Production, Inc., both in blue ink. Pencil notations in top left corner in unknown hand and typed notations. 2 pages, 8¼x13¾, 1 sheet, front and verso, binder holes at left edges. March 20, 1963. Koenig signed this contract with Selmur Productions to appear as Charley Turner in two episodes of General Hospital, with his final day of employment on March 24, 1963. He was to be paid $310 plus 10%. Koenig, born in 1936, is best known for playing Ensign Pavel Chekhov on the Star Trek TV series (1967-1969) and all of the Star Trek movies featuring the original series cast (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, 1979; Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, 1982; Star Trek III: The Search of Spock, 1984; Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, 1986; Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, 1989; Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, 1991; and Star Trek: Generations, 1994). Koenig, who made his feature film debut in 1963 in Strange Lovers, appeared several TV series, including Combat!, Mr. Novak, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Ben Casey and I Spy, before beginning the role that would essentially typecast him in science fiction roles. Koenig later appeared in Babylon 5 as PsiCop Alfred Bester (1994-1998), wrote an episode of the animated Star Trek series (1973) and made occasional movie appearances. Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Folded once. Otherwise in fine condition.
