Sale Price $270.00
B/w, 8x9½ youthful image of the Oscar nominated actress from the chest up, turning to the left and looking at the camera
Photograph inscribed and signed: "to/Barry & Bob,/Thank you for/helping to make my stay/in Denver a very pleasant/one./Sincerely,/Carroll Baker". B/w, 8x9½. Carroll Baker got some plum roles in her early films, including Giant (1956) and Baby Doll (1957), the latter earning her a Best Actress Oscar nomination. The studios tried to promote her as a Monroe-type blonde bombshell, especially in the starring role in Harlow (1965). After her popularity with American audiences proved limited, she had success in Italian cinema over the next two decades. She returned to American film with starring roles in Ironweed (1987) and Nowhere to Go (1998), playing a grandmother in the latter! Slightly rippled and faded. Photographer's stamp on verso (no show through). Overall, fine condition.
