A correction sheet from Who's Who in America bearing a clipped biography of Stone, with the author writing that his occupation should be changed from playwright to biographer, and writing "All else O.K."
Autograph Note signed: "I Stone", 1 page, 7¼x10½. On the blank portion a printed correction sheet from Who's Who in America (A.N. Marquis Company), Stone has affixed a print clipping from the previous edition (2x1) and made an pencil correction, changing the printed description of him as a playwright to "biographer". Below he has written, in full: "All else O. K." Date stamp in lower right: Jul 17 1939. Irving Stone (1903-1989) wrote fictionalized portraits of American First Families, including Andrew and Rachel Jackson (The President's Lady, 1951) and Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln (Love is Eternal, 1954) and John and Abigail Adams (Those Who Love, 1965). Other Stone novels focused on historical figures include Vincent van Gogh (Lust for Life, 1934) and Michelangelo (The Agony and the Ecstasy, 1965). Ink and pencil notes (unknown hands). One-half-inch tear in lower right. Tear in bottom left margin. Corners lightly worn and creased, esp. at bottom right corner. Surface creases throughout. Lightly soiled. Normal mailing folds. Staple holes in upper left. Otherwise, fine condition.
