The English actress signs the cast page of the program for a West End Production of Home at Seven.
Program signed: "Meriel Forbes", 1 page, 5x7½. Un-dated, but circa 1950, program for the play Home at Seven, by R. C. Sherriff, at the Criterion Theatre (London). Signed on the cast page. Forbes is cast as Peggy Dobson, while her real-life husband, Ralph Richardson, appears as David Preston. English stage and screen actress Meriel Forbes (1913-2000) was married to actor Sir Ralph Richardson (1902-1983), giving her the title of Lady Richardson. She was often cast opposite her husband, as she was in both the stage and screen (1952) versions of Home at Seven. Forbes' other film credits extended from Girls Please! (1934) to Oh! What a Lovely War (1968). She also appeared on British TV, including a regular part in Blandings Castle (1967). Hole punch at top left corner. One horizontal fold. Lightly worn. Lightly creased.
