Inscribed Advertisement signed: "For David/Best of Luck!/Robert Culp/'94", 8½x11. Advertisement for the 1994 film The Pelican brief, which starred Denzel Washington and Julia Roberts and was distributed by Warner Bros. It was based on the novel of the same name written by John Grisham. Culp plays the character referred to only as "The President". The advertisement shows Culp in the background and in the foreground are ten short reviews of Culp's acting in the film. In the center of the advertisement it says "For Your Consideration/Best Supporting Actor/Robert Culp. Robert Culp (1930-2010) made his first film in 1963, thereafter appearing sporadically on the big screen, most memorably as one of the four leads in the satirical Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1968). He also co-starred with comedian Bill Cosby on the popular TV series I Spy (1965-1968), which earned in him three Emmy nominations for acting and one for writing. Culp then essayed the semi-comic role of CIA chief Bill Maxwell on the weekly TV series The Greatest American Hero (1981-1986), and played such film character roles as the President in The Pelican Brief (1993). He co-starred with Cosby again for an I Spy TV-movie reunion in 1994. Fine condition.
